What can you do on the server?
Gen / Box Grinding
WawaNet started off as a Gen/Box grinding server about four years ago. The server (at the time HubbGens) was inspired by xboxserv and bubblegens. (both of these servers are no longer active or have been deleted completely) As the trend for box servers are now considered old, the server now has way more stuff such as Minigames, PVP games, RPG and SMP aspects and general fun Minecraft experience.
Minigames / PVP
From the start of season two of the server (WawaGens), we focused the server development into fun mini games and pvp game modes which many of them were inspired by Hypixel.net and suggestions made by the server community. In my opinion I would say the minigames / pvp sector of the server is one of the most fun to play on. However, some players may find other things to be more fun.
RPG and SMP
From the late stages of season two of the server, we developed a SMP for players to enjoy. However, it was vary lacking in things to do after killing the end boss and getting the best gear. Many players wanted a seasonal inventory and map reset because they became bored of having everything they need. Thus in season three of the server, we have added a RPG game mode into the SMP option. The RPG game mode will be optional because not everyone will want to play it. However, I believe it will help the SMP sector to be more fun through out a longer time period. There is the Build world and the Wild world. The build world is where you can claim land as your own or your friends to build and make a base that won’t be griefed by others. The wild world is what I would all a resource world. It will reset every 1 or two weeks.

WawaNet server history

The server started in October 3, 2021 as a anarchy server. The server later on moved into a HubbSMP that was privated and only friends would play on. At the end of 2021, the server with the name HubbGens was released as a Gen / Box grinding server. The server was built with the help from Krell, Silverduster and Psuudo. The server was inspired by servers from Minehut named xboxserv and bubblegens, both being Gen / Box servers are no longer operational or have made other servers that I am not aware of. After about 5 months of operation, a side server only available to staff members was created. It was named HubbSMP again but this time with a custom built map and a custom coded zombie apocalypse survival SMP. HubbGens and HubbSMP were quite lag intensive as they used the free server plan from Minehut in 2021-2022. Many veteran community members who joined the server community at this time recall HubbGens as a nostalgic memory and where most of the OG members of today come from. These were really early days of the server and HubbGens didn’t really have any proper systems or rules.
After a year of operation, The server moved from the (at the time) really low quality Minehut servers (even their paid versions) to a free server hoster located in Germany called Falix Nodes. The old HubbGens and HubbSMP servers were abandoned completely but still exist in Minehut to this day. The new server was re-branded into WawaGens but soon later re-branded again into WawaNet due to popular community votes. In the season two of the server, Mini games, pvp modes, and more grinding options were introduced. In the late stages of WawaNet season two (Mid 2023), the SMP gameplay was introduced for a short while before the server went into temporary down time as the development phase for the season three was starting.

When the WawaNet season three construction and development started. I (Archivist) thought it would only take about 4 months at minimum and 6 months at maximum to finish what I was visioning for the server at the time. This turned out to be a extremely big miss calculation as more plans were made and it took me about one year and 4 months to finish. This was because, I underestimated the amount of work I had to do. However, the work was worth it. I love the way the server is looking right now and I’ll keep improving it as the server goes on. WawaNet season three was officially released on August 22, 2024. Later on, in November 3rd, 2024, The server had a re-brand. The logo was made and provided by the server artist Ark Union.
